Once you have the Netscape Navigator downloaded and installed, these are the steps
to configure it to receive mail from your local ISP.
- Open Netscape and click on Options then click
Mail and News Preferences.
- Click on the Servers tab in the middle.
- In the "SMTP (outgoing mail server)" field,
type in: mail.your_local_isp.net
- In the "POP (outgoing mail server)" field, type
in: mail.your_local_isp.net
- In the "POP Username" field, type in your username,
all lowercase letters.
- Click on the Identity tab.
- In the "Your Email" field type
username@your_local_isp.net
- Click on the Organization tab.
- Place a check mark in the box entitled "Remember Mail
Password".
- Click OK and this should allow Netscape to send
and receive mail.
